One of my New Year's Resolutions for 2013 is to publish my novel in progress,
Cherish. So, I made the announcement on my Facebook profile and now I've created a blog dedicated to this particular goal of mine. I also love woodworking as a hobby.
So? What does woodworking have to do with writing, you might well ask? Well, nothing, really. However, if there's one thing I've learned in woodworking through the years -- a little pressure applied in just the right way can work miracles when smoothing out the rough spots in a project. That's why I'm announcing my
intention to publish this year. I figure it will not only help me to smooth out the rough spots in my novel, but it will also help me to focus on something I've been wanting to do for a long time, and to help me
get it done!
So... What is this
Cherish thing all about, anyway?
Well, in short, it's the first in a series of novels that I will publish and it's about a girl, stalked by something unknown, and her shocking connection to the murder of two teens. Keep in mind, though, that it is a work in progress, so there may be changes along the way in the initial focus of the storyline.
I will keep you updated on my progress through pictures, videos, and
music that remind me of scenes in my novel as well as through manuscript
snippets, my own artwork for the book, and my own music. I'm also
planning a few surprises along the way such as a contest with prizes, a
giveaway, and a very special surprise that I will announce later.
I formally invite you to come along with me on my creative journey to the world of my first published novel,
Cherish, this year of 2013.
Be sure to stay up-to-date on everything
Cherish related by subscribing to this blog.
Thank you!
